Talking about Africa…you could also take part in the day to day activities of a Maasai village, allowing you to experience and help preserve the Maasai culture first hand. The Maasai people of Tanzania live in a stunning wilderness which encompasses the vast grassy plains of the Serengeti, renowned as one of the world’s greatest wildlife habitats, and the unique ecosystem of the Ngorongoro Crater. Until the 20th century this region was largely untouched by the western world but today the traditional lifestyle of the Maasai is fading.

There is more Africa for you…Gasp at the most spectacular natural wonder of them all, Victoria Falls – ‘Mosi-oa-Tunya’ or ‘The Smoke that Thunders’. Float gently along the upper Zambezi watching the animals come to drink. A whole world away you could discover the mysterious Okavango Delta in Botswana and the vast horizons of Namibia and the Namib Desert, said to be one of the oldest deserts in the world.

Asia is packed with adventure possibilities: In Japan, the forces of nature are inseparable from everyday life. A mix of scenic spots and activities will keep you enthralled with this fascinating country….

Another possibility is Papua, previously called Irian Jaya, which is the part of Indonesia that covers the western side of the huge, remote island of New Guinea, which it shares with the separate country of Papua New Guinea. With some of the most impenetrable jungle on earth, jagged mountain ranges and areas of crocodile-infested marshland, some parts have still barely been explored – the Baliem Valley was only discovered by the outside world in 1938.
