For those in search of a little retail therapy, they will be delighted by Chamonix’s pedestrian centre with its wide selection of attractive boutiques. If you enjoy watching the world go by, what better place than one of Chamonix’s sunny street cafés!

The local Chamonix bus network services the entire Chamonix Valley from the village of Servoz to the village of Le Tour. It also provides access to all the different lift areas.

 

Les MuletsThese environmentally friendly mini-buses operate in high-season in the town centre. They run every 10 minutes.

 

Train Mont-Blanc Express – This SNCF line services all the villages between Saint Gervais/Le Fayet, Vallorcine and Martigny (Switzerland). This panoramic train is a unique and very comfortable way of discovering the Chamonix and Trient valleys.

Take the comfortable electric railway from Chamonix to Mont Envers (1913m / 6276 ft), a vantage point with fine views of the Mer de Glace. Views are astounding. These are serious mountains! 

This magnificent glacier is 7 km long and averages 1200m in width. This charming little red train has been transferring passengers to the Mont Envers site and the world famous Mer de Glace glacier since 1908.
