Villa Vacation on The French Cote D’Azur
A visit to the Cote D’Azur in the South of France can be anything you want it to be – from glamorous Cannes to people-watching from a shaded café in a quaint little village surrounded by flower fields and the seducing smell of lavender.
It all comes down to a choice: Where do you choose to go for your French Villa Vacation on the French Côte d’Azur?
Choose from some of the French Riviera’s most beautiful and historic towns.
Grasse is situated about 15km north from Cannes and half an hours drive from Nice. It is known as the Perfume Capital of the world and you will find plenty of perfume museums, factories and shops to explore. It is a charming town full of winding narrow streets – many lined with quaint pavement cafes.
The high altitude of the town, 300-400 m, and the hills behind give Grasse a fresh climate during the heat of the summer….and you can always take a dip in your private pool should you need to cool down.
Vence is a 9th century village with cobbled streets and a most picturesque setting in lush green hills near Nice and Antibes. This is where famous painters like Matisse, Chagall, and Renior used to retreat for inspiration.
The village is traditional and charming, with terace cafes beneath shady trees, a bustling weekly market and fountains where you can taste the village’s own mineral water, “La Foux.”
Tourettes sur Loup is a gorgeous medieval town known as the “city of violets” for the flowers that ornament its hills.
The French seaside resort, Cannes is world famous for the yearly Film Festival. This year it takes place between the 12th and the 23rd of May in which period the town turnes into “Celebrety-Ville” when more than 200,000 people arrive to take part in the Festival.
Wherever you choose to stay in this idyllic region, you’ll love the laid-back Mediterranean atmosphere and lifestyle that has attracted visitors for centuries….not to mention: the spectacular scenery on offer.
